Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: "Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up."

 

Many people say that they can follow Jesus on their own and that they don’t need anyone else.  What a lie from the devil!

 

Jesus says in the above verse, and in many other places, that we need each other.  This is why Jesus created the church, not to give us some place to go, but to give us a place where we can allow someone to help us, or where we can be a help to someone else.  What a great idea!

 

When you go it alone against the devil and all that he throws against you, it is so hard. You may say, "but I have Jesus". Yes, that may be, but here is the thing. We sometimes forget that we have Jesus with us. That is why we need to be around other Christians to remind us of what we need to know and then stand with us with their gifts. 

Now it is Jesus, and you two against the devil, and when you attend church and get this concept it is a lot more than 2 against the devil with you and Jesus.
